What we check, what we do not, and how to tell us when something is wrong.
A marketplace is only as trustworthy as what it says about itself. This page describes the checks VeryBookedAI runs today — no more — so you know what is left for you to check.
What we check today
Each of these is enforced by the platform itself, not just promised on a page.
Claiming a listing
To claim a listing, the owner signs in and adds a one-time DNS record to the website domain shown on that listing. Our system looks the record up automatically and accepts the claim once it finds it. The record has to be added within 24 hours. A listing with no website cannot be claimed yet.
Who can buy requests
Only a business whose claim has been accepted can buy customer requests. A business we suspend cannot buy any.
Customer requests
A request is only accepted with the customer’s consent to be contacted. We check that the answers belong to that service’s form, and that the phone number and postal code are in a valid format.
One business at a time
A request is sold to one business: the first purchase closes it to every other business. If that business returns it and the return is approved, the request can be offered again.
Returns
A business can return a request from its dashboard, once per request and within the window in the lead buyer terms, for one of seven reasons: a duplicate, contact details that do not work, someone not authorised to hire, outside the business’s area, spam or a competitor’s test, a customer who never responds, or the wrong type of work. Duplicates can be approved automatically; other reasons wait for a decision from our team. An approved return credits the price of the request back to the business’s balance.

What we do not do
VeryBookedAI is a marketplace, not a contractor and not an inspector. Please read this before you hire anyone.
- We do not check licences, qualifications, trade registrations or insurance.
- We do not inspect, supervise or guarantee anyone’s work, prices or timings.
- We do not run identity or background checks on business owners.
- An accepted claim shows that someone controls the business’s website. It says nothing about the quality of its work.
- We do not verify phone numbers with a code sent by text message.
- We are not a party to the agreement between you and the business you hire, and we do not take payment for the job.
- An unclaimed directory listing has not been checked by the business or by us.
Before you hire
A few habits that protect you, whichever business you choose.
- Ask for a written quote that sets out the work, the price and when it will be done.
- Check any licence, registration or insurance the job needs where you live, directly with the organisation that issues it.
- Be wary of paying the full price before the work starts. For larger jobs, agree to pay in stages.
- Keep messages, quotes and receipts in writing.
Report a business or a problem
If a business misled you, a listing is wrong, or something on VeryBookedAI looks like fraud, tell us.

Your data
We use the details in a request to connect you with a business that can do the job, and we erase the contact details 30 days after the request.
