In short
Executive summary- Your wallet holds real money in Canadian dollars (CAD), not points or credits.
- Money you top up never expires while your account is active.
- A top-up pack can include a promotional bonus of up to 20%. Bonus has no cash value and expires 180 days after it is given.
- Bonus is always spent before your own money.
- If you close your account, we refund the money you topped up and have not spent.
1Scope
These terms apply to the prepaid wallet of every VeryBookedAI business account. They form part of your agreement with us together with the Terms of Service and the Lead Buyer Terms.
2What your balance is
Each business has one wallet in one currency, the currency of its country: for this market, Canadian dollars (CAD). Every amount is shown in that currency.
Your wallet can be used only to pay for leads and other VeryBookedAI services. It is not a bank account or electronic money, it earns no interest, and it cannot be transferred to another business.
Your dashboard shows three kinds of money separately:
- Top-up balance
- Money you paid in. It never expires while your account is active and is refundable when you close your account.
- Promotional bonus
- Extra balance we add to some top-up packs. It has no cash value, is never refunded and expires.
- Return credit
- Balance credited when a lead return is approved. It can be spent on leads but is not refunded as cash.
3Topping up
You top up by card through our payment processor. Your first top-up can save your card so that later top-ups take one click, or happen automatically when your balance falls below a level you choose. You can switch automatic top-ups off at any time.
Automatic top-ups are limited to $7,500 per calendar month.
Top-up packs are sized from the prices of the trades and areas you receive offers for, and the amount is shown before you pay. See pricing for businesses.
A top-up is a prepayment. VAT or other sales tax is charged when you buy a lead and is shown on the invoice for that purchase.
4Promotional bonuses
Some top-up packs include a promotional bonus, shown as a percentage before you pay. The bonus is at most 20% of the top-up, and it can be lower, or capped, in some trades.
- A bonus expires 180 days after it is added to your wallet.
- A bonus has no cash value: it cannot be withdrawn, refunded or transferred.
- An unused bonus is cancelled when your account closes.
5The order your money is spent in
When you buy a lead, the price is taken from your wallet in this order:
- promotional bonus, starting with the bonus that expires soonest;
- your top-up balance;
- return credit.
This way a bonus is used before it can expire.
6What expires and when
- Top-up balance
- Never expires while your account is active. Inactive accounts are covered below.
- Promotional bonus
- 180 days after it is added.
- Return credit
- 12 months after it is credited.
7Approved returns
When a lead return is approved under the Lead Buyer Terms, the price is credited back to your wallet, never to your card.
The credit is split in the same proportions as the payment. The part you paid from your own money comes back as return credit, which lasts 12 months. The part paid from a promotional bonus comes back as bonus and stays usable for at least 14 days, even if the original bonus would have expired sooner.
8Closing your account
You can close your account at any time. When you do, we refund your unspent top-up balance to the payment method you used. Return credit and promotional bonus are not refunded.
9Inactive accounts
An account becomes inactive when no one has signed in to it for a long period. We write to you after 12, 15 and 17 months without a sign-in. Signing in at any point resets the clock.
What happens to your money
- At 17 months without a sign-in, we refund your unspent top-up balance to the payment method on file.
- Only if that refund cannot be made, for example because there is no payment method or the refund is refused, and the account reaches 18 months without a sign-in, the remaining balance may be forfeited, as the law applicable to your account allows.
- Promotional bonus and return credit lapse under their own expiry rules.
10Mistakes and payment problems
If we credit or charge your wallet by mistake, we correct it, and the correction appears in your wallet history. If a top-up payment fails or is reversed, offers to your business are paused until the payment is resolved.
If you think a wallet entry is wrong, tell us through the contact page and include the date and amount.
11Changes and the law that applies
We tell you by email before a change to these terms affects money already in your wallet. Liability, other changes and the law that applies are covered by the Terms of Service. These terms are written in English; where we provide a translation, the English version prevails if the two differ.
